Job Summary
Assistant Manager drives the Hi Five Guest Experience and store operations, supervising associates, coaching Shift Leaders and Guest Services staff, performing interviews and training, handling store administration (ordering, delivery reports, paperwork), and ensuring safe, compliant, and customer-focused service. Responsible for POS and gas sales, stocking and merchandising, cash handling, and maintaining pleasing store conditions while meeting company policies and regulatory requirements. Provides leadership to ensure high-quality guest interactions, efficient shift execution, and readiness for Guests, with focus on achieving exceptional guest service and store performance.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to speak, hear and understand spoken English well enough to communicate effectively with customers.
- Ability to see well enough to operate store equipment, including POS terminal, gas console, and to use price book.
- Ability to understand operating instructions for store equipment and to operate all store equipment.
- Ability to prepare DipSide items using supplies located in the dip cabinets.
- Ability to handle coins, currency, checks, credit transactions, coupons and food stamps, recognize denominations and accurately make change.
- Ability to count and perform arithmetic; ability to move merchandise and stock.
- Ability to tolerate low/high temperature exposures as specified for extended periods.
- Ability to lift at least 10 pounds and handle 21-pound package placements into a dip cabinet.
Additional Requirements
- Must be legally qualified under applicable state laws to conduct all sales transactions including alcohol and tobacco sales.
