Job Summary
The Assistant Store Manager is responsible for delivering outstanding service to every guest, ensuring compliance with laws and company policies during shifts. Key duties include managing associates, handling store administration, supervising on-site guest services, maintaining merchandise and store conditions, operating cash registers, and ensuring security and maintenance of the store. The role requires effective communication, the ability to understand and operate store equipment, and skills in handling various transactions.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to speak, hear and understand spoken English effectively.
- Ability to see well enough to operate store equipment and check identification documents.
- Ability to understand operating instructions for store equipment.
- Ability to prepare DipSide items using supplies located in the dip cabinets.
- Ability to handle coins, currency, checks, credit transactions, coupons and food stamps.
- Ability to recognize numbers, count and do arithmetic to complete required records.
- Ability to move merchandise from storage to shelves/displays/freezers.
- Ability to clean counters and other surfaces.
- Ability to tolerate exposure to temperatures as low as –30 degrees and +33 degrees Fahrenheit.
- Ability to raise at least 10 pounds from floor level to a height of 5 feet.
- Ability to place a package weighing 21 pounds into a cabinet 3 feet above the floor.
