Job Summary
The role of Assistant Manager includes managing store associates, ensuring outstanding customer service during shifts, maintaining excellent store conditions, and complying with company policies. The Assistant Manager is responsible for direct guest interactions, effective operation of store equipment, and handling transactions. Essential functions encompass guest services, store administration, stocking merchandise, security measures against theft, maintenance of cleanliness, and accurate record-keeping. The position requires effective communication, proficiency with cash handling, and physical ability to perform tasks involving merchandise and equipment.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to speak, hear and understand spoken English
- Ability to see well enough to operate POS terminal and gas console
- Ability to understand operating instructions for store equipment
- Ability to prepare DipSide items
- Ability to handle coins, currency, checks, credit transactions
- Ability to recognize numbers, count and do arithmetic
- Ability to move merchandise from storage to shelves
- Ability to clean counters and other surfaces
- Ability to tolerate exposure to temperatures as low as –30 degrees Fahrenheit
- Ability to tolerate exposure to temperatures as low as +33 degrees Fahrenheit
- Ability to raise at least 10 pounds from floor level to a height of 5 feet
- Ability to place a package weighing 21 pounds into a dip cabinet
