Job Summary
The Assistant Store Manager is responsible for ensuring exceptional service delivery by managing store operations and staff during their shifts. Key roles include coaching associates on The Hi Five Guest Experience, overseeing store administration tasks such as ordering and paperwork, preparing a range of guest services including shakes and ice cream, operating POS systems efficiently, maintaining store organization and cleanliness, and adhering to security protocols. Candidates must have strong communication skills, the physical ability to lift and move merchandise, and be qualified to manage alcohol and tobacco sales.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to speak, hear and understand spoken English effectively with customers
- Ability to see well enough to operate store equipment
- Ability to understand operating instructions for store equipment
- Ability to prepare DipSide items using supplies located in the dip cabinets
- Ability to handle coins, currency, checks, credit transactions, coupons, and food stamps
- Ability to recognize numbers, count, and do arithmetic well enough to complete required records
- Ability to move merchandise from storage to shelves/displays/freezers/milk box and place for proper display
- Ability to clean counters and other surfaces
- Ability to tolerate exposure to different temperatures
- Ability to raise at least 10 pounds from floor level to a height of 5 feet
- Ability to place a package weighing 21 pounds into a dip cabinet at a height of 3 feet
Additional Requirements
- Must be legally qualified under applicable state laws to conduct all sales transactions including alcohol and tobacco sales.
