Job Summary
The Assistant Store Manager is responsible for delivering outstanding service by ensuring compliance with The Hi Five Guest Experience. Duties include managing associates, overseeing store administration, maintaining guest services, and ensuring efficient operation of the store during shifts. Key responsibilities also involve managing inventory, maintaining store cleanliness, and controlling cash levels. The role requires effective communication, physical capability to handle equipment and products, and compliance with legal regulations regarding sales. Candidates must be able to work flexible shifts and meet various physical requirements for the role.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to speak, hear and understand spoken English effectively with customers
- Ability to see well enough to operate store equipment
- Ability to understand operating instructions for store equipment
- Ability to prepare DipSide items using supplies located in the dip cabinets
- Ability to handle coins, currency, checks, credit transactions, coupons and food stamps, recognize denominations and accurately make change
- Ability to recognize numbers, count and do arithmetic to complete required records
- Ability to move merchandise from storage to shelves/displays/freezers/milk box
- Ability to clean counters and other surfaces
- Ability to tolerate exposure to temperatures as low as –30 degrees Fahrenheit for at least 2 minutes
- Ability to tolerate exposure to temperatures as low as +33 degrees Fahrenheit for at least 10 minutes
- Ability to raise at least 10 pounds from floor level to a height of 5 feet
- Ability to place an 8” x 10” x 10” package weighing 21 pounds into a dip cabinet at least 3 feet high
