Job Summary
The Assistant Store Manager is responsible for delivering outstanding service to guests by ensuring compliance with The Hi Five Guest Experience standards during shifts. Duties include managing associates, efficient operation of the store, overseeing guest services, maintaining store conditions, stocking merchandise, ensuring security, and completing reports. Essential functions involve coaching staff, handling cash transactions, preparing food items, and maintaining the safety and cleanliness of the store. Candidates must have strong communication skills, the ability to operate equipment, and the capacity to handle physical tasks in varying temperature conditions.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to speak, hear and understand spoken English
- Ability to see well enough to operate store equipment
- Ability to understand operating instructions for store equipment
- Ability to prepare DipSide items
- Ability to handle coins, currency, checks, credit transactions, coupons and food stamps
- Ability to recognize numbers, count and do arithmetic
- Ability to move merchandise from storage to shelves/displays/freezers/milk box
- Ability to clean counters and other surfaces
- Ability to tolerate exposure to temperatures as low as -30 degrees Fahrenheit
- Ability to tolerate exposure to temperatures as low as +33 degrees Fahrenheit
- Ability to raise at least 10 pounds from floor level to a height of 5 feet
- Ability to place an 8” x 10” x 10” package weighing 21 pounds into a dip cabinet

- Must be legally qualified under applicable state laws to conduct all sales transactions including alcohol and tobacco sales
