Job Summary
Assist store leadership as Floor Leader to drive sales and customer engagement. Lead and coach a sales team to deliver consultative solutions, achieve sales and services goals, and maintain an exceptional store experience. Develop the team through coaching, training, and role-playing; delegate operational tasks with the GM, and contribute to merchandising opportunities and cost-control. Build customer relationships, communicate store initiatives, and adapt to changing priorities while upholding Staples values and community commitments. Must be able to engage customers, understand their needs, and operate effectively in a fast-paced retail environment.
Required Qualifications
- 2+ years managing a sales team in a retail or services industry
- Experience managing and coaching a team in a customer-centric, solutions-based environment
- Must be able to engage and speak to customers and understand their needs
- Strong communication, organization, planning and adaptability to changing priorities
- Ability to review results against business goals and drive growth
- Ability to manage conflict in a calm, cooperative manner
- Honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information
- Ability to work in a high-paced environment and lift/move materials in the 10-50 pound range
