Job Summary
Assistant Store Manager supporting the Store Manager with sales, operations, asset protection, and HR functions to ensure excellent customer experiences and profitability. Responsibilities include staffing and scheduling, payroll documentation review, coaching and supervising associates, driving sales through product knowledge and customer service, maintaining store appearance and merchandising standards, training on visual merchandising, monitoring performance and providing feedback, handling cash and financial processes, overseeing inventory receipt/dispatch, replenishment, and physical inventories, ensuring compliance with policies and loss-prevention controls, assisting in recruiting and development of store staff, and performing other duties as assigned. Requires ability to lift up to 50 pounds, flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays, and frequent travel across the district.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Must be 18 years old or older
- Minimum 3 years prior retail or sales management experience preferred
- Excellent communication, verbal and written skills
- Able to travel to stores throughout the district
- Knowledge of administrative aspects of store operations
- Operate register; lift and carry 50 pounds; standing and maneuvering on sales floor and stockroom
