Job Summary
Drive sales and gross profit goals while acting as the Store Manager during absence. Manage inventory, prepare work schedules, and apportion work among associates. Direct, manage, and discipline staff, including interviewing, selecting, and training new associates. Support operational and financial improvements, control expenses, and resolve escalated customer complaints. Ensure compliance with food safety rules and maintain property security. Handle bad checks and report to accounting. Work evenings, weekends, and holidays with flexible scheduling.
Required Qualifications
- 2+ years of merchandising/retail grocery experience or 1+ year managing store inventory
- 1+ year supervising direct reports
- Able to stock merchandise weighing up to 45 pounds, on shelving at various heights
- Must be open to promotional relocation in the Southwestern United States
- Must be flexible and willing to work the demands of the department which may be subject to evenings, weekends and holidays
