Job Summary
Assistant Store Manager assists in planning, directing and controlling store operations and supervising employees to manage production, inventory, merchandising, losses, and profitability; responsible for hiring/firing, promotions, disciplinary actions, and staff development; assists with product ordering, supporting sales plans, and maximizing sales while ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations; communicates and enforces company policies, provides verbal and written guidance to employees, and oversees training, scheduling, and performance discussions; reads and interprets financial statements (profit and loss) to set objectives and address deficiencies; operates cash registers and balances cash; travels to and from work and coordinates with vendors.
