Job Summary
Lead the store team to create an exceptional customer experience and exceed sales goals by ensuring the sales floor is adequately staffed and prioritizing service generation. Coach associates on product knowledge and selling skills using training resources while reinforcing customer service principles. Manage client service issues regarding delivery and pick-up through effective use of reporting systems. Maintain appropriate staff coverage across all store areas and serve as a role model for sales associates. This role requires excellent communication, critical thinking, and time management skills, with a background in retail sales or customer service management. Full-time associates must have open availability; part-time Flex associates need weekend and weekday shift coverage.
Required Qualifications
- Excellent communication, organization and leadership skills
- Superior critical thinking skills to creatively identify challenges and develop action plans in a timely manner
- Great time management skills and ability to execute multiple tasks and appropriately manage competing priorities
- 2-3 years of previous retail sales experience or management experience in a customer service related field
- Must be able to be mobile on the sales floor for extended periods of time
- Must be able to lift and mobilize medium to large items, up to 75 lbs., while utilizing appropriate equipment and safety techniques
- Full time associates are expected to have open availability to meet the needs of the business
- Part-Time Flex associates must be available to work a minimum of two regularly scheduled shifts on the weekend (Friday, Saturday and/or Sunday) and two during the week (Monday to Thursday)
- For an associate to be scheduled 20 hours or more weekly, greater availability (beyond the minimum required above) that meets the needs of the business will be required
- Weekend availability cannot fall on the same day; an associate must be available on two separate days (Friday and Saturday, Friday and Sunday or Saturday and Sunday)
