Job Summary
Assistant Store Manager at Cosentino's Sunfresh in Kansas City, MO. Responsible for providing overall supervision of all store departments, promoting teamwork and high morale, coaching and evaluating performance, addressing employee relations with HR, and hiring quality candidates. Ensures customer service standards are met, monitors labor costs, ensures compliance with health, sanitation, and safety regulations, and supports merchandising and promotion of new items and weekly specials. Requires strong verbal and interpersonal skills, basic math and reading abilities, and the ability to manage multiple departments while maintaining exceptional store operations. Exempt leadership role reporting to the Store Director with duties across all departments and ongoing training per Cosentino Learning Plan.
Required Qualifications
- A valid driver’s license is required for deliveries
- A food handling permit must be obtained within the first 14 days of employment
- A liquor license is required prior to the first day of work (If applicable)
- A minimum (2) years of management experience in a food service, retail, and/or grocery store setting is required
- Completion of ongoing training and development as listed on the Cosentino Learning Plan
- A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred
