Job Summary
Oversee store operations by managing sales, inventory, expense control, and shrinkage to maximize profitability. Train and develop all staff, monitor performance metrics, and assign daily goals with regular follow-up. Maintain merchandising standards, ensure the selling floor is stocked, and drive local marketing events like classes and demos. Control costs through audits and store walk-throughs while promoting woodworking activities within the community to increase traffic. Assist the Store Manager in assessing store performance and implementing improvement activities.
Required Qualifications
- 1 to 3 years previous retail sales experience, preferably with a similar product line
- MS Office skills, to include Outlook, Excel, and Word
- Excellent written/verbal communication skills
- Must be able to stand for long periods of time
- Must be able to personally lift up to 50 lbs on a regular basis
- Must be able to participate in team lifting

Desired Qualifications
- B.S. degree or equivalent experience in Business Administration or related field
- Prior supervisory/leadership experience in a work setting
- Knowledge of woodworking supplies and hand/power woodworking tools
