Job Summary
Oversee and supervise daily store operations, supporting and developing the team to ensure outstanding service. Work closely with Store Managers to lead the team, manage operations, and coach team members while role-modeling genuine service. Handle opening and closing responsibilities and maintain the safest work environment for staff and customers. Prioritize safety and demonstrate physical capacity for lifting, bending, and driving. This Assistant Store Manager role is based at Repco Mentone, where you will benefit from ongoing training, career development, and a safe, inclusive team environment within the Genuine Parts Company network.
Required Qualifications
- Have previous supervisory experience, or be ready for that next step
- Demonstrate previous retail or trade experience, including sales, wholesale, and/or workshop operations experience
- Ideally have mechanical / automotive parts knowledge
- Have a flexible availability
- Hold a valid driver's licence
- Have the physical capacity to perform the duties of the role (including handling products of a heavy nature)
- Prioritise safety
- Note, this role will require lifting, bending, climbing & safe driving
