Job Summary
Manage store operations by coaching Team Members to achieve sales goals, overseeing inventory replenishment and cycle counts, and organizing promotions. Provide exceptional guest service by sharing product knowledge, handling front-end duties like cash register and display prep, and interacting with pet parents across multiple channels. Assist the Store Manager in daily management while meeting flexible scheduling requirements for evening and weekend shifts. This role supports our community of pet lovers in delivering health and nutrition resources, with opportunities to advance into the Store Manager In Training program.
Required Qualifications
- Must be 18 years or older
- Passion for extraordinary customer service and the well-being of pets
- Minimum 1 year of professional retail sales experience
- Minimum 1 year of professional managerial experience
- Willingness to be educated about the products and services offered
- Demonstrated ability to meet sales targets
- Excellent communication skills-both verbal and written
- Ability to work a flexible schedule to meet the needs of the business, which will require evening and weekend shifts
- Time management and organizational skills
- Position requires a person to be both indoors and outdoors (to assist with customer carry out)
- Must be able to stand 8 hours per day with or without reasonable accommodation
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds on a regular basis with or without reasonable accommodation
- Must be comfortable working with a wide variety of animals including small and large dogs
- Must be able to work around pet hair and dander
