Job Summary
Provide guests with an exceptional experience and assist the Store Manager in overall management of store operations. Share product knowledge to meet customer needs, coach Team Members to achieve sales goals, and oversee inventory including merchandise replenishment, cycle counts, and shipment processing. Organize special store events and promotions while performing front-end duties such as handling the cash register and preparing displays. Positively interact with pet parents via email, text, and phone. Work a flexible schedule requiring evening and weekend shifts, standing 8 hours daily and lifting 50 pounds regularly.
Required Qualifications
- Must be 18 years or older
- Passion for extraordinary customer service and the well-being of pets
- Minimum 1 year of professional retail sales experience
- Minimum 1 year of professional managerial experience
- Willingness to be educated about the products and services offered
- Demonstrated ability to meet sales targets
- Excellent communication skills-both verbal and written
- Ability to work a flexible schedule to meet the needs of the business, which will require evening and weekend shifts
- Time management and organizational skills
- Position requires a person to be both indoors and outdoors (to assist with customer carry out)
- Must be able to stand 8 hours per day with or without reasonable accommodation
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds on a regular basis with or without reasonable accommodation
- Must be comfortable working with a wide variety of animals including small and large dogs
- Must be able to work around pet hair and dander
