Job Summary
Greet neighbors and their pets upon entry, host adoption events with local rescue coordinators, and analyze sales results to maximize productivity. Assist in operational management by adhering to safety, cleanliness, and security policies while promoting team engagement through recognition and career development guidance. Maintain a fully staffed team by supporting recruiting, onboarding, and coaching, and connect with community organizations to partner on marketing opportunities. Operate store equipment including forklifts and manage inventory while ensuring exceptional neighborly service.
Required Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience leading a retail team
- 4-year college degree or equivalent work experience
- Microsoft Office knowledge
- good communication skills
- Ability to operate all equipment – including a forklift
- ability to climb ladders
- ability to bend
- ability to kneel
- ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Ability to work flexible schedules
- reliable transportation
- pass the drug, background and validated selection test
- be 18 years or older
