Job Summary
Greet neighbors and their pets upon entry, host local adoption events, and join conversations about product choices to deliver neighborly service. Analyze store sales results to develop plans maximizing productivity and engagement while partnering with the Store Team Leader. Assist in operational management by adhering to policies on cleanliness, animal care, and safety. Support team engagement through coaching, feedback, and recruiting new hires. Cultivate a learning culture by providing onboarding and development opportunities. Connect with community organizations to partner on events and marketing initiatives.
Required Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience leading a retail team
- 4-year college degree or equivalent work experience
- Microsoft Office knowledge
- good communication skills
- Ability to operate all equipment – including a forklift
- ability to climb ladders
- ability to bend
- ability to kneel
- ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Ability to work flexible schedules
- reliable transportation
- must pass the drug, background and validated selection test
- be 18 years or older
