Job Summary
Assistant Store Manager at Goodwill overseeing store operations, training new hires, motivating staff to meet goals, delivering customer service to shoppers and donors, managing administrative tasks, and covering the Store Manager in their absence. Responsibilities include supervising personnel, completing daily sales reports, handling bank deposits, coaching and disciplining employees as needed, processing donations, ensuring production meets guidelines, and supporting policy execution. Requires five+ years of supervisory retail experience, ability to stand long hours, lift 30 lbs, valid AZ driver’s license, ability to obtain CPR/First Aid certification, AZ DES fingerprint clearance within 90 days, and willingness to travel between locations. Required Qualifications
- At least five (5) years of supervisory experience, preferably in retail
- Ability to stand for long periods (up to 8 hours) and lift a minimum of 30 pounds; physical requirements
- Valid Arizona driver's license with suitable driving record
- Ability to become CPR and First Aid Certified
- Must be able to obtain AZ DES fingerprint clearance within 90 days of employment
- Willingness to travel between locations as needed
- Experience with daily sales reports and payroll information (time cards, exception reports)
- Demonstrated customer service excellence
- Ability to supervise store operations and staffing
- Ability to train and orient store employees
- Knowledge of safety policies and loss prevention
