Job Summary
Open and close the store based on company guidelines while executing and maintaining merchandise changes. Manage loss prevention practices to safeguard company funds and property, ensuring alarm systems remain functional through regular testing. Drive sales productivity by communicating daily goals to staff and ensuring effective execution of all promotions. Lead the team in training new hires, addressing substandard performance with corrective action, and maintaining high customer service standards. Coordinate with upper management to enforce policies, manage payroll, and maintain accurate employee files. Perform hands-on floor moves, visual merchandising initiatives, and general housekeeping to ensure store compliance with safety and facility standards.
Required Qualifications
- High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED)
- Ability to perform high school level math
- Must have reliable transportation
- Must meet the minimum age of 18
- Ability to operate a POS cash register, calculator, scanner and related equipment
- Ability to manage 6 or more staff members
- Ability to manage 4 or more staff members
- Ability to work long hours, including evenings and weekends and holidays, as necessary
- Ability to maintain a business-like, professional and well groomed appearance at all times
- Ability to provide a phone number to be reached in case of store emergency by Alarm Company or staff members
- Ability to perform alarm test on a regular basis
- Ability to identify and correct conditions that affect employee safety
