Job Summary
Act as manager on duty, performing all Store Manager responsibilities when absent, including reviewing financial results, overseeing inventory, and managing staffing needs. Direct and control all store operations, supervise front end teammates, and handle customer service requests, refunds, and complaints. Conduct store walks, mediate disputes, enforce company policies, and train teammates to ensure compliance and productivity. Manage cash on hand, prepare store projections, and coordinate with vendors to maximize sales. Maintain accurate checkout service, control damaged products, and ensure safe work environments while remaining highly visible to customers.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 3 years experience in the supermarket industry
- completion of a management training program or equivalent combination of education and experience
- valid driver's license
- forklift certified
- Must be able to unload trucks, breakdown load and stock product
- Must be able to perform other duties assigned
- Must possess a valid driver's license
- Must be forklift certified
- Must be able to lift 50-100 pounds occasionally
- Must be able to lift 25-50 pounds frequently
- Must be able to lift in excess of 20 pounds constantly
- Must possess good audio, visual and hearing acuity
- Must be able to walk and/or stand to a significant degree
- Must be able to climb, stand, bend, push or pull, twist, grasp, squeeze, stoop, kneel, squat, reach, handle, finger and feel
- Local and long distance travel required
- Subject to seasonal road conditions and other traffic hazards
- Subject to communicable disease
- Subject to psychological stress
