Job Summary
Work the floor alongside staff and department management to set an example, promote a positive environment, and stay in touch with employees and customers. Engage with customers to make them feel welcome, ensure quality and safety of all products, and enforce all company policies. Delegate tasks, schedule staff, monitor attendance, and recruit, interview, hire, and train new employees. Discipline staff as required and train others in proper equipment use. Maintain a professional attitude while ensuring the safety and security of company property. Schedule may entail evenings, weekends, holidays, and travel between two locations.
Required Qualifications
- Must be 21 or older
- Knowledge of perishables, product rotation, and safe food handling practices
- Ability to stand, sit, walk, bend, squat, and climb for up to 8 - 10 consecutive hours
- Schedule may entail evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Travel between two locations may be required
- 40 – 50 hour workweeks are typical
- Basic computer, math, and data entry skills
- Excellent verbal communication skills
