Job Summary
Oversee store operations by managing donations, sales, and personnel while meeting production and budget goals. Direct employee scheduling, training, and performance evaluations to ensure compliance with safety policies and company standards. Maintain sales floor appearance, inventory levels, and security systems to pass retail audits and maximize revenue. Handle customer service inquiries and complaints while reporting loss prevention matters promptly. Ensure all staff adhere to Goodwill Industries rules and maintain safe working conditions through regular inspections.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of three years' work experience in a managerial role in a retail environment
- Preference for profit and loss, and sales or cost management accountability experience
- High school diploma or G.E.D.
- Must have a current valid Oregon Drive License and insurable driving record
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a current CPR/First Aid card
- Must possess strong interpersonal skills through command of the English language in order to work with customers and employees
- Must be able to function independently in a work setting
- Have no record or disclosure of criminal conviction that indicates a tendency towards theft, violence, dishonesty, deceit, drug manufacture of sale, moral turpitude or predatory behavior
- Must provide proof of identification and eligibility to work in the United States
- Must be able to pass an Oregon Department of Human Services criminal background check and pre-employment drug-screening test
- Must be able to perform essential functions of the Assistant Store Manager Job Description with or without reasonable accommodation
- Requires a high level of adaptability and flexibility
- Must be available during store hours, including weekends, evenings, and some holidays
- Must be able to lift and/or move up to 10-25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and color vision
- Must be able to pass an Oregon Department of Human Services criminal background check and pre-employment drug-screening test. These are non-negotiable
- Must have reliable transportation
