Job Summary
Assistant Manager supports the Store Manager in day-to-day operations and administration, including selling, restocking, merchandising, ordering, scheduling, and personnel recruiting/training. The role assumes supervisory responsibility in the Store Manager’s absence, provides guidance to employees and customers across departments, analyzes inventory and sales trends, ensures profitability, and upholds company policies and standards while delivering outstanding customer service and promoting store merchandise.
Required Qualifications
- Experience working in a retail environment, preferably in footwear and athletic apparel
- 1-3 years of customer service experience
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to assist in managing a team and keep up with overall goals and profits
- Self-starter with initiative
- Strong attention to detail and multitasking ability
- Team-player with passion for outstanding customer service and selling merchandise
