Job Summary
Assist Store Manager in daily retail operations, including supervising staff in the Store Manager’s absence, handling selling, restocking, merchandising, ordering, scheduling, and training. Contribute to inventory control, customer service excellence, promoting merchandise, and achieving store goals. Provide guidance to employees across departments, ensure adherence to company policies and procedures, and help protect assets and financial information. Expected to participate in recruiting, training, and evaluating personnel and to maintain high standards of customer service and store presentation.
Required Qualifications
- Experience working in a retail environment, preferably in footwear and athletic apparel
- 1-3 years of customer service experience
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to assist in managing a team and keep up with overall goals and profits
- Self-starter, has initiative to take on important tasks without being asked
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and with precision
- Team-player, passionate about outstanding customer service and selling merchandise
