Job Summary
Assistant Manager assists Store Manager with day-to-day store operations, including supervising staff in the absence of the Store Manager, training and evaluating personnel, coordinating selling/restocking/merchandising/ordering/scheduling, maintaining inventory movement and customer trends, ensuring profitability, enforcing policies and procedures, and delivering outstanding customer service while promoting merchandise and services. Responsible for knowledge across product areas, handling administrative duties, and upholding company standards as outlined in manuals; supports achievement of store goals and acts in supervisory capacity as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Experience working in a retail environment
- 1-3 years of customer service experience
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to assist in managing a team and keep up with overall goals and profits
- Self-starter with initiative
- Attention to detail and multi-tasking
- Team-player and customer-service oriented
- Familiarity with store operations and merchandising
- Knowledge of inventory management and scheduling
