Job Summary
Assistant Manager role providing support to Store Manager in daily operations, including selling, restocking, merchandising, ordering, scheduling, and supervising in the Store Manager’s absence. Requires knowledge of store departments, adherence to policies, delivering outstanding customer service, and guiding employees. Responsibilities include recruiting and training personnel, monitoring inventory, sales statistics, expenses, profitability, and ensuring quality customer service; applies store policies and internal controls, and leads the team to meet department and store goals. 1-3 years of customer service experience and retail experience preferred; strong interpersonal/communication skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment; proactive, detail-oriented, team-player with merchandising and service focus.
Required Qualifications
- 1-3 years of customer service experience
- Experience working in a retail environment, preferably in footwear and athletic apparel
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to assist in managing a team and keep up with overall goals and profits
