Job Summary
Assist the Store Manager in overseeing daily store operations, including selling, restocking, merchandising, ordering, scheduling, and supervising in the Store Manager’s absence. Develop product knowledge across departments, uphold company policies and standards, deliver outstanding customer service, promote merchandise and services, manage inventory and expenses to support profitability, and provide guidance to employees. Responsibilities include recruiting, training, evaluating personnel, producing exceptional customer service, and ensuring adherence to internal control procedures. Supervisory duties involve directing staff in the Store Manager’s absence and participating in hiring, training, and task delegation. The role requires retail experience, strong interpersonal and communication skills, a detail-oriented, team-focused mindset, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Required Qualifications
- Experience working in a retail environment, preferably in footwear and athletic apparel
- 1-3 years of customer service experience
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to assist in managing a team and keep up with overall goals and profits
- Self-starter with initiative to take on important tasks
- Strong attention to detail
- Team-player with passion for outstanding customer service and selling merchandise
