Job Summary
Assistant Manager supports the Store Manager in day-to-day operations, including selling, restocking, merchandising, ordering, and scheduling; assumes supervisory responsibilities in the Store Manager’s absence; provides guidance to employees and customers across departments; promotes merchandise and services; ensures quality customer service and adherence to policies; manages assets, inventory, and profitability; trains and evaluates personnel; maintains awareness of inventory movement and customer trends; upholds company policies and procedures.
Required Qualifications
- 1-3 years of customer service experience
- Experience in retail environment (preferably footwear/athletic apparel)
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to supervise and train staff
- Self-starter with initiative
- Attention to detail
- Team-player and customer-service oriented
