Job Summary
The Assistant Manager assists the Store Manager in planning and supervising store operations, including selling, restocking, merchandising, ordering, and scheduling. The role requires knowledge of each product area, ensuring customer service excellence, upholding company policies, and acting in the Store Manager’s absence. Responsibilities include supervising staff, coordinating personnel activities, analyzing inventory and sales trends, promoting services and merchandise, and maintaining internal controls to protect company assets.
Required Qualifications
- Experience working in a retail environment, preferably in footwear and athletic apparel
- 1-3 years of customer service experience
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to assist in managing a team and keep up with overall goals and profits
- Self-starter with initiative and attention to detail
- Team-player with passion for outstanding customer service and selling merchandise
