Job Summary
Assist in managing fresh perimeter departments (bakery, deli, produce, and market) to ensure product quality, food and physical safety, and optimal inventory levels. Lead and develop partners through interviewing, hiring, training, and performance management; plan and direct work; monitor sales, inventory, and adherence to company standards; implement merchandising plans and loss-prevention initiatives; drive customer service and store operations, including open/close procedures and staff scheduling. Demonstrates strong knowledge of retail grocery operations, maintains compliance with safety and legal requirements, and fosters a professional, customer-focused environment. The role involves leading a team in a fast-paced store setting, ensuring accurate pricing and signage, and collaborating to achieve store sales, profitability, and operational excellence.
Required Qualifications
- Associates Degree in related field and two or more years of related experience; or an equivalent combination of experience and/or higher education required.
- HIPAA certification within 2 weeks of starting in role.
- TABC/LACT/AATC/ABLE certification within 2 weeks of starting in role where applicable.
- Manager Food Safety certification within 2 weeks of starting in role.
- AML certification within 2 weeks of starting in role.
