Job Summary
The Assistant Store Manager role supports daily operations across one or more self-storage locations under the District and Store Manager. Responsibilities include building and maintaining customer relationships, presenting a structured sales process to maximize unit rentals and related products, ensuring high standards of cleanliness, conducting daily site safety inspections, handling customer billing and delinquent payments, performing cash handling and bank deposits, and maintaining professional relationships with employees. The position emphasizes customer service, ongoing operations, and on-site supervision with opportunities for growth within Extra Space Storage. Bilingual Spanish preferred.
Required Qualifications
- 1+ year of customer-facing work experience
- High School diploma or GED
- Valid driver’s license and access to a reliable personal vehicle; except in New York City and Brooklyn
- Sales experience preferred
