Job Summary
The Assistant Store Manager will support daily operations across one or more self-storage locations, ensuring clean facilities, delivering exceptional customer service, and driving sales through unit rentals, insurance, and moving supplies. Responsibilities include building and maintaining customer relationships, addressing billing and delinquent payments, handling cash transactions and daily deposits, performing site safety inspections, maintaining the cleanliness of the site (office, interior and exterior), and resolving customer concerns. The role requires dependable communication, the ability to oversee cash-handling processes, manage multiple tasks, and collaborate with store and district leadership to uphold company standards and provide a positive customer experience.
Required Qualifications
- 1+ year of customer-facing work experience
- Sales experience preferred
- Current valid driver’s license and access to a reliable personal vehicle; except in New York City and Brooklyn
- High School diploma or GED is required; college education is a plus
