Job Summary
The Assistant Store Manager supports the daily operations of one or more self-storage locations, ensuring cleanliness and operational excellence. Builds customer relationships through in-person and phone interactions, executes a structured sales process, and manages customer accounts. Responsibilities include maximizing sales through unit rentals, unit insurance, and moving supplies; maintaining site cleanliness and safety inspections; handling billing, payments, and delinquent accounts; and maintaining professional relationships with all staff. The role requires reliable communication, a proactive service mindset, and the ability to work across multiple sites under district guidance.
Required Qualifications
- 1+ year of customer-facing work experience
- Current valid driver’s license and access to a reliable personal vehicle (except in New York City and Brooklyn)
- High School diploma or GED is required; college education is a plus
