Job Summary
As Assistant Store Manager for Extra Space Storage, support daily operations across one or more self-storage locations, partnering with the District Manager and Store Manager to maintain high cleanliness standards and operational excellence. Build strong customer relationships through in-person and phone interactions, drive sales via unit rentals, unit insurance, and moving supplies, and manage customer accounts. Ensure site upkeep through routine cleanliness and safety inspections, address billing and delinquent payments, handle cash transactions and daily deposits, and uphold the company culture. The role requires 1+ year of customer-facing experience, a high school diploma or GED, and may involve driving as needed. The position offers daytime hours with potential Sundays off depending on location and provides benefits including PTO, 401(k), healthcare options, and growth opportunities across the U.S.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED is required; college education is a plus
- 1+ year of customer-facing work experience
- Sales experience preferred
- Current valid driver’s license and access to a reliable personal vehicle; except in New York City and Brooklyn
