Assistant Store Manager - Edwin Watts Golf

Job Summary
Execute day-to-day plans and strategies developed by the Store Manager to maintain a store culture consistent with Worldwide Golf's "Sure No Problem" philosophy. Maintain strong product knowledge, control shrink and expenses, and ensure the sales floor is stocked, signed, and displayed per brand presentation. Enforce all visual merchandising programs through regular store walk-throughs and audits while monitoring company communications to adjust schedules as needed. Respond to negative customer experiences by de-escalating situations and coach employees using feedback. Build external relationships in the local golf community and identify opportunities for employee growth. Work varied hours/days as business dictates.
Required Qualifications
- 2+ years of retail management experience
- experience working in the golf industry
- working knowledge of POS register system
- working knowledge of word-processing
- working knowledge of spreadsheet
- working knowledge of inventory
- working knowledge of internet
- working knowledge of order processing systems
- Ability to read, write, analyze and interpret business reports, correspondence and procedures effectively
- excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions and percentages
- Freely access all areas of the store including sales floor, stock area and register area by standing, walking, stooping, crawling, climbing, crouching and kneeling
- lifting and/or moving up to 35 pounds at any given time
- Work varied hours/days as business dictates
