Assistant Store Manager - Edwin Watts Golf

Job Summary
Execute day-to-day store operations by maintaining product knowledge, controlling shrink and expenses, and ensuring the sales floor is stocked and displayed to brand standards. Implement visual merchandising programs, conduct regular store audits, and monitor company communications to adjust schedules as needed. Manage customer experiences by de-escalating negative situations, coaching employees based on feedback, and building external industry partnerships. Assist the Store Manager in developing strategies while identifying process improvements and supporting employee growth in golf skills and career paths. Work varied hours/days as business dictates.
Required Qualifications
- 2+ years of retail management experience
- experience working in the golf industry
- working knowledge of POS register system
- working knowledge of word-processing
- working knowledge of spreadsheet
- working knowledge of inventory
- working knowledge of internet
- working knowledge of order processing systems
- Ability to read, write, analyze and interpret business reports, correspondence and procedures effectively
- excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions and percentages
- Freely access all areas of the store including sales floor, stock area and register area by standing, walking, stooping, crawling, climbing, crouching and kneeling
- lifting and/or moving up to 35 pounds at any given time
- Work varied hours/days as business dictates
