Job Summary
Assistant Store Manager to lead daily retail store operations in the absence of the Retail Store Manager. Manage 20–30 staff, meet financial goals through merchandising, donations, loss prevention, and pricing strategies, and drive community impact. Responsibilities include budgeting, financial reporting, staff development, hiring, training, ensuring safety and OSHA/CARF compliance, maintaining POS systems, and delivering exceptional customer service. This hands-on leadership role requires operational oversight across multiple store functions, profitability through efficient operations, and empowerment of staff to achieve store goals.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent
- At least 2 years supervising Retail Operations
- Proficient in Word, Excel, and web-based applications (e.g., UKG)
- Ability to manage multiple departments and lead staff
- Flexibility to work varied schedules, including evenings and weekends
- Strong customer service and leadership skills
- Basic understanding of budgeting and financial reporting
- Experience with POS systems and merchandising/donation operations
- Ability to obtain forklift or walkie stacker certification if required by role
