Assistant Store Manager role supporting the Store Manager/Captain to drive sales and profitability at Vineyard Vines in Country Club Plaza, KC. Responsibilities include generating and exceeding store financial goals, developing crew performance, scheduling, and mentoring staff; delivering exceptional customer experience, educating customers on product and brand initiatives, and collecting feedback. Focus areas include operations, merchandising, compliance with HR policies, loss prevention awareness, payroll support, and proactive recruiting to maintain a strong talent pool. Requires strong communication, leadership by example, ability to train, motivate, and inspire teams, and a passion for the vineyard vines brand.
Required Qualifications
- 9+ months as Assistant Manager in similar volume type business
- One to two years retail experience
- Strong interpersonal communication and customer service skills
- Ability to plan, manage time, and make decisions in a fast-paced environment
- Proven success in staff development and mentorship
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including holidays, overnights, and weekends
- Excellent retail business acumen including selling skills and visual presentation
