Job Summary
Lead the Store Leadership Team by providing direction to staff, executing plans to enhance productivity, and assisting the Store Manager with hiring, training, and coaching. Manage daily operations by ensuring effective store procedures, driving sales and profitability, and maintaining inventory through replenishment, organization, and shrink control. Address operational issues related to sales, goals, safety, and personnel development while serving as a role model for exceptional customer service. Work a flexible retail schedule in an active environment requiring physical movement and specialized equipment use.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in position or specialization
- Skill operating a Point of Sales (POS) system, other in-store computerized systems, and telephone
- Ability to use judgment to identify and resolve day-to-day technical and operational problems
- Effective communication skills
- Ability to communicate clearly with others
- Availability to work a flexible retail schedule, which may change seasonally and in response to location-specific business trends or forecasts
- Ability to constantly move about
- Ability to adjust/move items weighing up to 40 lbs
- Ability to use specialized equipment
- Ability to work in a place with exposure to dust and noise
Desired Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED preferred
