Assistant Store Manager

Job Summary
Greet guests with a friendly, engaging attitude, answer questions regarding store and merchandise, and recommend items based on guest needs. Lead by example with high-level showmanship, excellent customer service, and attentiveness to drive personal sales and total net sales goals. Coach and train new teammates on sales presentations, loss prevention, and visual standards while assisting the Store Manager in recruitment and staffing needs. Own and influence product through zone ownership, ensuring the sales floor is consistently sized and new freight is appropriately displayed. Execute opening and closing checklists, manage inventory of supplies, and handle emergencies in the Store Manager's absence. Maintain a clean, organized store, follow all security risks and theft prevention guidelines, and communicate policy violations or guest concerns to leadership in a timely, confidential manner.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- one to three months related retail experience
- or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Ability to operate a motor vehicle and travel, including overnight as required
- Ability to travel and cover other Stores within District based on business needs
- Physical ability to lift and maneuver 50lbs throughout the store and backroom

- Ability to work a flexible schedule, which may include mornings, evenings, and weekends, and the day of/day after Thanksgiving and Christmas, based upon store and business needs
- Ability to complete Markdowns, Pulls, inbound/outbound freight, recalls, Return to Vendors (RTVs)
- Ability to handle emergencies in Store Manager's absence, in accordance with Company guidelines
- Ability to travel and cover other Stores within District based on business needs
- Relocation may be required

- Ability to identify and follow through on all Teammate training needs
- Ability to travel and cover other Stores within District based on business needs
