Assistant Store Manager

Job Summary

Greet guests with a friendly attitude, answer questions about merchandise, and recommend products to fulfill sales goals. Assist the Store Manager in recruiting, training, and motivating new Teammates while acting as the Store Manager's proxy during their absence. Own visual merchandise zones, execute opening and closing checklists, and maintain store cleanliness and inventory standards. Handle Point of Sale procedures, process returns and exchanges, and manage loss prevention protocols including bag checks. Cover flexible shifts including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed, and travel to other stores within the district when required.

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)

  • Ability to communicate any policy violations and Teammate or Guest concerns to Store Manager, District Manager, and/or Human Resources in a timely, confidential manner

  • Ability to Insure all New Hire paperwork and tasks are promptly and accurately completed based on Human Resources guidelines and Legal policies
  • Ability to execute actions from department calendars and track on the Weekly Delegation Worksheet
  • Ability to create and develop results in your department and balance all DM actions within your segment as well as completing the mid-week check in
  • Ability to Partner with Store Manager to pick store's education focus and help delegate and implement focus all week
