Job Summary
Assist the Store Manager with hiring, training, and developing store team members while directing supervisory responsibility for all hourly staff when the Store Manager is absent. Perform all opening and closing procedures, protect company assets including cash, and maintain the stockroom and sales floor to company standards. Manage freight flow, order and stock merchandise, and ensure the sales floor is sales effective daily. Adhere to all policies, safety guidelines, and SSC Corporate directives while meeting productivity standards. Work flexible, full-time schedules including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays in a high-energy environment.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to lift, bend and transport merchandise weighing up to 50lbs from floor level to above shoulder height; must be able to meet demands of frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, twisting, pulling, and repetitive lifting, with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Ability to work flexible, full-time schedule to include days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Desired Qualifications
- Prefer prior retail and management experience.
- Effective communication, interpersonal, and written skills
- Ability to work in a high energy, team environment.
