Assistant Store Manager

Job Summary
Direct supervisory responsibility for all hourly Team Members when the Store Manager is absent, including managing opening and closing procedures. Assist the Store Manager with hiring, training, and development of store staff while overseeing daily store functions and merchandise recovery. Protect company assets and cash, maintain sales floor and stockroom standards, and process SSC Corporate directives. Ensure the sales floor remains sales effective daily by managing freight flow, ordering merchandise, and implementing Store Operations Weekly Bulletin directives. Adhere to all safety policies and productivity standards in a high-energy environment.
Required Qualifications
- Prior retail and management experience
- Effective communication, interpersonal, and written skills
- Ability to lift, bend and transport merchandise weighing up to 50lbs from floor level to above shoulder height
- Ability to meet demands of frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, twisting, pulling, and repetitive lifting, with or without reasonable accommodation
- Ability to work flexible, full-time schedule to include days, evenings, weekends, and holidays
