Job Summary
Assistant Store Manager for Bellroy's first Melbourne store. You will own store operations and lead the retail team in delivering a thoughtful, knowledgeable Bellroy experience in person. You’ll read the floor and numbers, handle complex customer situations with attentive, long-horizon thinking, train and support teammates, manage stock, cash, and deliveries, and help shape how this early-stage store operates. You’ll communicate product passion fluently and engage with stakeholders to influence decisions in a brand-focused, sustainability-driven environment.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years retail supervisory experience
- A real way with customers, especially in complex moments including escalated complaints and warranty queries
- Ability to train and support others without making it feel like training
- Genuine interest in the product and ability to communicate that effectively
- Experience running the operational side of a store: stock processes, cash handling, deliveries, and daily discipline
- Comfort with ambiguity and early-stage problems
- A settled, grounded energy on the floor, capable of steadying the team
