Job Summary
Organize store operations and allocate responsibilities to personnel; maintain up-to-date product inventory sheets and pick lists; manage backstock; interview, select candidates, and oversee a team of retail associates; create and maintain schedules for all retail associates; supervise and guide staff toward maximum performance; prepare and control the store’s budget aiming for minimum expenditure and efficiency; monitor stock levels and purchases to stay within budget; handle customer complaints to maintain store reputation; inspect store areas and resolve issues; plan and oversee in-store promotions or displays; stay abreast of market trends to determine needs for improvements in the store; analyze sales and revenue reports to forecast; ensure safety guidelines are fulfilled; contribute to a positive work environment; perform other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Proven experience in retail management with strong sales and customer service background
- Ability to effectively manage cash handling, cash registers, and inventory control
- Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team
- Ability to analyze sales data and market trends to inform strategic decisions
- Experience in negotiating with vendors and managing vendor relationships
- High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor's degree in business or related field preferred
