Job Summary
Oversee overall store operations across food and general merchandise at the Southgate, MI store, including planograms, seasonal resets, and endcaps. Lead and develop a team, manage selection, training, and performance, forecast staffing needs with recruiting strategy, and drive customer service, sales, and profitability. Ensure compliance with food safety standards and Meijer brand values; communicate financial performance and KPIs; engage with the local community and cultivate talent to retain and recruit. This role requires strong leadership, strategic planning, merchandising, and operational execution to deliver a best-in-class shopping experience.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
- Minimum 5+ years of retail/grocery/operations management/customer service experience
- Minimum 4+ years of progressive leadership experience
