Assistant Store Director

Job Summary
Assist in coordinating and directing the overall operation of the store in the absence of the Store Director. Responsibilities include supporting the Store Director, managing personnel, training employees, fostering teamwork, addressing customer complaints, monitoring pricing discrepancies, ensuring safety standards, overseeing sanitation programs, and contributing to the profitable operation of the store. Requires strong communication skills, basic math abilities, and excellent organization skills, with a minimum of three years of experience in the supermarket industry.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of a high school education, college education is helpful but not required
- At least 3 years of experience in the supermarket industry with successful participation in management programs
- Working knowledge of store operations
- Excellent oral and written communication skills for dealing with customers, employees, and vendors
- Basic math skills to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, gross margins, markup, percentages, proportions, ratios, and volume
- Ability to verify vendor invoice charges and counts, and complete required accounting reports including inventory and receiving
- Excellent organization and follow through skills
- Ability to stand upright for most of your scheduled work shift
