Job Summary
Coach and instruct students in speech and debate fundamentals, strategy, and training to foster individual and team success. Design tactics and strategies for the team while developing and implementing practice plans. Study students' skills to maximize performance and document attendance, behavior, and academic status daily. Enforce district and school policies, establish program expectations, and communicate student status with parents. Provide mentorship to cultivate moral values, self-discipline, and confidence.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience as a participant and/or advisor in speech and debate
- Advanced communication skills
- Criminal background check and fingerprinting required for hire
- All certifications, licenses, and registrations must be valid and unexpired
