Job Summary

Support the Tournament Director in all aspects of event planning and execution for the All-Ripken Games, overseeing daily operational oversight of fields, schedules, staffing, and game flow. Serve as a key on-site decision-maker to ensure event timelines, schedules, and standards are consistently met while communicating inning limits, time limits, and tie-breaker procedures to coaches and umpires. Supervise Field Coordinators and seasonal staff, providing guidance on expectations and player management, and resolve on-field disputes in a professional, calm, and solutions-oriented manner. Act as a primary communication liaison between Operations, coaches, umpires, vendors, and facility partners, assisting with managing event communication platforms and supporting staff briefings. Address player, coach, or parent concerns with professionalism and empathy, ensuring adherence to safety standards and medical protocols. Assist with score reporting, standings verification, and post-event feedback to drive continuous improvement. Represent the Unrivaled Sports and All-Ripken brand with integrity and energy during this multi-day event in Sandusky, OH.

Required Qualifications

  • High School Head Coaching experience
  • College coaching experience
  • College or professional playing experience
  • Strong understanding of baseball/softball rules, tournament formats, and game operations
  • Proven leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, live-event environment
  • Requires availability for multi-day events, including early mornings, evenings, and weekends

Desired Qualifications

  • Prior experience as a Tournament Director, Assistant Director, or Field Coordinator
  • Experience with showcase, all-star, or large-scale youth sports events
  • Background in athlete development, evaluation, or event operations
